The e-commerce platform is a key revenue driver for the brand, and as part of their ongoing commitment to providing the best possible shopping experience, Cox & Cox decided to embark on a major project to enhance their Magento 2 (Magento Cloud) platform.

What we’ve done

The goal was to improve the overall user experience for customers, streamline internal processes, integrate with third-party systems, and deliver customized features that matched the brand’s premium offering.

For MTO products, we implemented a custom product designer tool that allowed customers to select different fabric colors and sizes. The fabric swatch was displayed in a popup window to ensure a smooth and intuitive design process.

Solution:

  • Custom product options for fabric colors and sizes were added with a visually appealing swatch system.
  • The swatch pop-up allowed users to preview different fabric options in real-time.
  • Dynamic price adjustments were made based on the fabric and size choices.
  • This feature was integrated directly with the product pages, allowing easy selection and visualization.

Result:
Customers could now easily customize MTO products, leading to higher engagement and increased conversion rates.

We integrated Cyllindo, a 3D modeling solution, for MTO-type products that dynamically adjusted based on the customer’s selected color and size. This feature was implemented for products like custom sofas and chairs.

Solution:

  • Embedded Cyllindo’s 3D viewer within product pages to display highly interactive 3D models.
  • The 3D models updated in real-time as customers selected different fabric colors and sizes.
  • This interactive feature enhanced the customer’s ability to visualize the final product, improving the overall shopping experience.

Result:
The integration of 3D models resulted in a better visual experience and reduced purchase hesitation, boosting confidence and increasing the likelihood of a sale.

To allow guest users to track out-of-stock products, we created a custom stock alert system that could notify them via email when products were restocked.

Solution:

  • Guest User Alerts: Even without creating an account, customers could subscribe to stock alerts for specific products.
  • Admin Grid Integration: The stock alert system was linked to Magento’s admin grid, so the team could easily track and manage subscriptions.

Result:
This functionality gave guest users a reason to engage with the site and revisit for restocked items, helping convert these users into future customers.

To offer more flexible payment options, especially for high-ticket items, we integrated Dividbuy, a service that allows customers to pay by credit.

Solution:

  • Dividbuy Checkout Integration: During checkout, customers could select the option to split payments into manageable credits.
  • Clear Communication: Product pages and the checkout process were updated to clearly communicate the availability of credit payments.

Result:
This feature improved the conversion rate for higher-ticket items, as customers were more likely to make a purchase with the option to spread the payments over time.

Cox & Cox wanted a way to let customers order free fabric swatches without making the process cumbersome. We developed a custom swatch ordering page that allowed users to request fabric samples.

Solution:

  • Dedicated Swatch Page: Customers could easily select from available fabric options and order free swatches.
  • Streamlined Process: The swatch ordering was seamlessly integrated into the user experience, allowing customers to add swatches to their cart, place the order, and receive the samples.

Result:
The feature helped customers make more informed decisions before purchasing larger, more expensive items, driving up conversion rates.

To streamline returns and replacements, we developed a custom returns form with Freshdesk integration.

Solution:

  • A customer dashboard was created, allowing customers to initiate returns/replacements directly from their account page.
  • After submitting the form, a new ticket was automatically generated on Freshdesk via APIs.
  • Once CSR processed the return, data was synced back to Magento.
  • Customized email notifications were sent at each step of the process, and a PDF return slip was generated and attached to the email.

Result:
The process became fully automated and integrated, improving efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Cox & Cox required different shipping rates for different types of products, particularly bulky items like furniture.

Solution:

  • Custom Shipping Rules: We created custom shipping rules based on product categories (e.g., “bulky items” like furniture).
  • Dynamic Rate Calculation: Shipping rates were calculated dynamically at checkout based on the product selected and its shipping group.

Result:
Customers were shown accurate shipping charges, reducing cart abandonment and improving overall transparency during the checkout process.

The store was operating on an older version of Magento, which was limiting performance and access to new features. We upgraded the platform to the latest version of Magento 2.

Solution:

  • Upgrade Process: A comprehensive audit of existing customizations and extensions was performed. The upgrade was executed with minimal downtime and ensured compatibility with existing functionalities.

ThTo connect Magento with NetSuite, we implemented a REST API integration, enabling seamless synchronization of product, customer, and order data between the two systems.

  • Order Management Integration: Orders placed in Magento were automatically pushed to NetSuite, improving order processing accuracy.

This integration significantly reduced manual errors, improved operational efficiency, and provided a unified view of customer and order data across both platforms.

Custom product pages were created for mattress-type products, allowing customers to select specific configurations like size, firmness, and material.

Solution:
